USCIS Announces Flexibility in Deadlines for RFEs, NOIDs, NOIRS, etc.

On May 1, US Citizenship and Immigration Services announce some very limited flexibility in responding to requests for evidence (“RFES”) and Notices od Intent to Deny (“NOIDs”) , I-290B Appeals/Motions to Reconsider/Motions to Reopen, as well as other less common Service communications requiring a response (Notices of Intent to Revoke; Notices of Intent to Rescind and Notices of Intent to Terminate regional investment centers).

According to the announcement, where RFEs or NOIDs were issued between March 1, 2020 and July 1, 2020, an additional 60 calendar days will be permitted in which to respond beyond the 87-day period typically permitted for RFEs and 30-day period for NOIDs.
