On May 18, US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that all cases selected under the Fiscal Year 2020 H-1B cap lottery have now been entered into USCIS’s computer systems. This includes US advanced degree and regular cap cases.

We would expect that it may take as much as a week for these last receipt notices to reach attorneys and employers, but we can expect that by the end of next week all selected cases would likely have received Receipt Notices. It would be safe to assume non-selection if at this time next week no Receipt Notice has yet been received.

USCIS will now begin returning unselected cases and will continue adjudicating selected cases.
