US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced a new version of the I-485, edition date December 23, 2022, will be the only version accepted for filing beginning on December 23, 2022 itself.

It would serve practitioners well to take inventory of I-485 forms sent to clients for signature but not yet returned, and re-prepare the I-485 on the new version for transmission to clients.
