USCIS to Begin Accepting Applications Under Immigrant Entrepreneur Parole Rule

On December 14, 2017, in reaction to a December 1, 2017 ruling by the US District Court for the District of Columbia in National Venture Capital Association v. Duke, has announced that it is taking steps to begin accepting applications under the Immigrant Entrepreneur Parole rule previously discussed here
The rule was published by the Obama administration immediately before Trump’s inauguration and was set to go into effect this past July 17. The Administration, however, announced a week before the effective date that it would delay implementation to March of 2018, and stated that it would work publish a new rule repealing the Immigrant Entrepreneur Parole rule entirely before that date.
The DC District’s decision on December 1 indicated that the administration would need to complete formal rulemaking even to delay implementation of the rule, and ordered USCIS to begin implementation. This announcement acknowledges implementation of the court’s order.
